Ship Classes: Choose Your Warships
Every fleet in Crimson Mandate is built from four core ship classes. Mastering the role of each vessel is the foundation of effective fleet command in this warship strategy game.
Scout
FastReconLong-range sensors and high speed make Scouts your eyes across the battlefield. Deploy them to reveal enemy positions before your main fleet engages.
Fighter
OffenseSwarmAgile and heavily armed, Fighters form the attack wing of any serious fleet. Best used in coordinated strike groups to overwhelm enemy defenses.
Cruiser
HeavyDurableThe backbone of a warship fleet. Cruisers absorb punishment and dish out sustained fire, anchoring your formation during prolonged engagements.
Space Tug
SupportLogisticsDon't overlook fleet logistics. Space Tugs resupply ships mid-operation, repair hull damage, and tow disabled vessels back to safety.
Component Upgrades & Ship Customization
Crimson Mandate's component system gives every player a unique fleet identity. Mix and match hardware to fit your tactical doctrine in this sci-fi fleet commander.
Weapons Systems
- Plasma Cannons — high burst, short range
- Rail Drivers — armor-piercing kinetic slugs
- Missile Pods — area-of-effect splash damage
- EMP Emitters — disable enemy electronics
Defense & Propulsion
- Shield Generators — rechargeable energy barriers
- Reactive Plating — reduces kinetic damage
- Warp Drives — long-range fleet repositioning
- Stealth Fields — reduced enemy targeting lock
Components are earned through combat, mining runs, and marketplace trades. Higher-tier parts require rare resources — making space fleet management as strategic off the battlefield as on it.
Crew Management & Abilities
Ships fight as well as the crew that runs them. Every officer in Crimson Mandate has a unique ability tree that shapes how your warships perform under pressure.
Officer Roles
Assign a Captain to boost morale and unlock advanced maneuvers. A skilled Gunner increases critical hit probability. Your Engineer accelerates shield recharge and keeps engines at peak output between engagements.
Crew Experience & Leveling
Crew members gain experience from every battle. As they level, they unlock passive bonuses — veteran gunners reduce reload time, seasoned captains grant fleet-wide morale buffs during difficult fights.
Morale System
A fleet with high morale performs above its stat sheet. Keep crews rested, pay wages on time, and avoid prolonged losing streaks to maintain the edge that separates good commanders from great ones.
Tactical Combat: Weapons & Status Effects
Combat in Crimson Mandate is turn-influenced but real-time at heart. Position matters, weapon ranges matter, and understanding status effects separates veteran fleet commanders from rookies.
Weapon Interactions
- Shields block energy weapons first
- Rail Drivers bypass shields, hit armor directly
- Missiles apply splash — punish tight formations
- EMP disables weapons for 2 combat rounds
Status Effects
- Burning — hull damage over time
- Disrupted — reduced weapon accuracy
- Disabled — ship cannot act for 1 round
- Pinned — movement speed reduced by 50%
Chaining status effects is key to high-level play. Pin a Cruiser with a Space Tug's grapple beam, then stack Burning with plasma fire before the enemy can reposition — the foundation of elite warship strategy.
How Fleet Command Works: Getting Started
New to Crimson Mandate? Here's how to build your first fleet and take your first command in this space fleet management game.
Step 1 — Choose a Starting Ship
Begin with a Scout or Fighter depending on your preferred playstyle. Scouts suit explorers who prefer to gather intelligence; Fighters suit aggressive commanders who want early combat.
Step 2 — Earn Resources, Expand Your Fleet
Complete patrol missions and mining runs to accumulate credits and rare materials. Use them to purchase additional ships and unlock advanced components from the in-game marketplace.
Step 3 — Build Fleet Synergy
A fleet of four identical ships rarely outperforms a mixed formation. Pair Scouts with Fighters for rapid strike operations, and always keep a Space Tug in reserve for extended campaigns.
Step 4 — Join Alliances & PvP
Once your fleet is established, join an Alliance to access coordinated PvP fleet battles. Alliance warfare rewards commanders who have invested in crew development and component specialization.
